TMEC may approve an adult learner to complete a Self-directed practice teaching when a qualified Supervising Teacher is not available. 
The Field Supervisor and/or the Program Director or TMEC approved mentor teacher will assume the Supervising Teacher’s responsibilities. 
TMEC will determine if the Adult Learner has the skills and experiences necessary to successfully fulfill the self-directed practicum requirements and direct a Montessori class. 
One additional Field Supervisor visits are required.
